	Sharpening – necessary but rewarding.
	Some of the components for my current commission, a ladies writing desk in Silver Ash. Very happy with my new Boggs Spokeshaves for the hand shaping of these legs.

Joinery consisted of hand cut mortise and tenon joints and hidden dovetail joints.Finish was hand rubbed Danish Oil.Panels were veneered Tiger Myrtle exterior and the interior was veneered Huon Pine.

For a clean look soss hinges were used and push to open mechanism meant no door handles were necessary.

Cabinet complete and ready to be delivered to its new home.

	The commission brief from my client was for a simple but elegant 4 door cabinet. Timber selection was to be light in colour with featured panels. Knowing my client’s preference for unique timbers, a final choice was made to use salvaged Huon Pine with rare Tiger Myrtle veneer for the panelled features.

	Fitting of the back panel My client mentioned that there was a possibility that the cabinet would one day be used as a room divider so I decided to also feature the veneered panels on the back of the cabinet.
